Hardware and Operating System Considerations

Operating System Recommendation

Order all new systems loaded with Windows XP Professional operating system. Systems may be purchased with XP Home Operating System if your department has purchased a Campus Agreement. Systems configured for Windows Vista may not have drivers and/or hardware that is compatible with Windows XP. Systems configured with Vista also may not be compatible with some OIT supported software.
